A track produced by myself, Warren Luke Cummings, under heavy influence of Dilla's music, notably ''Runnin''. Tributary visuals by myself, in memory of J. Dilla aka James Yancey. This beat a testimony to the impact of master of creativity in every aspect. Trying to recreate that Detroit soul 'drunken' style of drumming pattern, with soul jazz rhodes chords, and a blend of synthetic harmonies on top.
Sampling and slicing, Stan Getz's "Saudade Vem Correndo", which featured on The Pharcyde's "Runnin." And the trumpet sample from intro to ATCQ's ''Footprints'' originally from Stevie Wonder's ''Sir Duke.''
